 Why I Created Insects: Word Search

I’ve always enjoyed puzzles because they provide a simple way to slow down, focus, and have a little fun. That’s what inspired me to create Insects: Word Search—a book that combines the challenge of word searches with the fascinating world of insects.

When most people think about insects, they probably think of a few familiar ones: butterflies, bees, ants, or perhaps mosquitoes. But the insect world is incredibly diverse. There are thousands of different species, each with unique characteristics, behaviors, and environments. I wanted to capture some of that variety in a fun and accessible puzzle book.

As I put the puzzles together, I enjoyed discovering and including the names of insects from different parts of the world. Searching for these hidden words turns a simple puzzle into a small exploration of the natural world. You may recognize many of the insects, while others may be names you've never encountered before.

I designed the book for anyone who enjoys word searches, nature, or simply having something relaxing to do away from a screen. Word searches are also a great way to exercise concentration and observation skills while enjoying a satisfying challenge.

My goal with Insects: Word Search was not to create a complicated or intimidating puzzle book. I wanted it to be something you could pick up whenever you have a few quiet moments and simply enjoy.

So grab a pencil, find a comfortable chair, and start searching. You never know what fascinating insect you might discover along the way!
