Why I Wrote Perk Up Your Brain

I wrote Perk Up Your Brain because I love coffee—and I love a good word search puzzle. It seemed only natural to put the two together!

For me, coffee is more than just something I drink in the morning. I actually roast my own coffee, and there is something special about starting with fresh-roasted beans and enjoying a freshly brewed cup. I enjoy the aroma, the flavor, and the simple pleasure of sitting down with a good cup of coffee and taking a few minutes to slow down.

As a coffee lover, I've always been fascinated by the many varieties, flavors, brewing methods, and traditions that surround coffee. While putting this book together, I wanted to capture some of that enjoyment in a fun and relaxing activity.

Perk Up Your Brain combines two things I enjoy: coffee and puzzles. The word searches feature coffee-related words, including different types of coffee, brewing terms, flavors, equipment, and other things familiar to coffee lovers.

My hope is that this book gives readers an opportunity to relax, have some fun, and perhaps enjoy a fresh cup of coffee while they work through the puzzles.
